Overview

We are proud to announce that console game, “PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER 2018”, has been selected as a demonstration esports title for the "Asian Games Jakarta-Palembang 2018", taking place in Indonesia this year from August 18th.

2018 marks the 18th iteration of the Asian Games, which is a continental multi-sport event organized by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). It is held every four years, and features athletes from all over Asia. This year, the Asian Games will be held in Jakarta-Palembang, Indonesia, and esports will be added as a demonstration sport for the first time ever.

Each participating country/region will form teams by selecting two exceptional players as their official representatives. These teams will face off to determine which among them has what it takes to win the gold medal at the Asian Games’ debut esports showcase.

Regulations

This competition will be held in “PES LEAGUE” 1v1 mode.

Ranking System

Competitors must play a minimum of 20 matches to attain a ranking. Rankings are determined by the amount of points players are able to obtain over the course of these 20 matches. Points are awarded in the following fashion:

Victory: 3 points
Draw: 1 point
Defeat: 0 points

If two or more players have the same amount of points at the conclusion of the competition, their rankings will be delineated according to the following criteria

A) Total number of matches (players with fewer matches will be ranked higher)
B) Goal Difference
C) Number of goals

(The above criteria will be applied in order from A to C)

Rewards in Game

We will give 50,000 GP to the players who participated online competition and played more than 5 matches later. Registration is not required to receive this reward. Please check our announcements in game on May 24th.

Note

  • We will provide the result of this competition and personal information to each NOC or national esports organization.
  • The result of this competition is NOT a final determination of the national PES team member.
  • National team members may be selected without results of this competition in some countries/regions.
  • The countries/regions below will select their national team members by using their own methods. If you have any questions, please get in touch with your country/region’s NOC.

How to register

Registrations will be open between 8AM on the 23rd May 2018 till 9PM on the 27th May (UTC), and are required by all participants who wish to have their details and tournament results forwarded to their country/region’s official representative selection committee.

Regulations

This competition consists of group stage and knockout stage.

  • Each round will play 3 games with the following orders, and winner will be determined by BO3:
  • 1st Game: 1v1
  • 2nd Game: 2v2
  • 3rd Game: 1v1

Teams in each group will have a round-robin competition. Teams who have ranked at 1st and 2nd places after the group stage will advance to the next stage.

Format

  • Group Stage
    Teams who have ranked at 1st and 2nd places after the group stage will advance to the next stage.
  • Knockout Stage
    The knockout stage will be held in the total of 4 countries, 2 countries from each group in the group stage. Fighting cards are determined according to the results of the group stage.
    In each round, we will decide the winner with the result of 1 match.
  • About each match
    Opposing national teams cannot choose the same football team in a single game. In the event where the same team is chosen, such event shall be solved through a coin toss by a referee.
    In the same round, one national team cannot choose the same football team twice in a match. (A national team cannot choose the same football team in the 2nd game which was chosen in the 1st game. The national team cannot choose the same football team in the 3rd game that was chosen in the 1st and 2nd games.)
